Calvin Jackson Allen

Calvin Jackson Allen, 96 of Laurel, MD went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 15, 2022 on his 96^th birthday at home.  Born in Welch, WV he was the son of William H. Allen and Sallie Mitchell Allen.  He served his country in the United States Army as a Medic in World War II.  He worked at the Justice Department in Washington, DC, and Hooper Homes in Silver Spring, MD as an Insurance Investigator.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Ramona Allen, Sons: Dennis J Allen & Sara of Dunbar, WV, Steven J Allen & Sandra of Damascus, MD, Daughter: Sheri Allen and Dennis Hood of Bowie, MD.  Grandchildren: Wendy Lang, Curtis Allen, Christopher Allen (deceased), Stephanie Allen Luko and Krissy Coffman.  Great grandchildren: Samantha Kral, Danny Cooper, Alazia Bauer, Alex Lang , Troy Allen, Natalie Allen, Justice Luko, Jace Luko and Jordyn Luko. Great- Great Grandchildren include Emerson Kral, Holden Kral and Bentley Cooper.

The Allen Family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving care by his nurse, Michelle Burns and the Montgomery and Prince Georges Hospice.

A service to celebrate Mr. Allen’s life will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cheltenham Veteran’s Cemetery with Pastor Pat Linnell.  Military rites will be conducted by the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.
