Carl Chamberlain, 75 died unexpectedly November 28, 2022, at home. He was born October 9, 1947, in Elkins West Virginia, the son of Raymond L. and Mary L. (Champ) Chamberlain.
Carl graduated from Elkins High School, Class of 1965. After graduation he joined the United States Army for 3 years, while in the Army, he served in Vietnam. Upon his return, he was a member of the West Virginia National Guard.
Mr. Chamberlain worked in various plumbing and electrician positions through the years in both West Virginia and Maryland.
He also worked as a Correctional Officer at Huttonsville Correctional Center.
Carl moved from Elkins, WV to Maryland in 1988. For many years he worked as a Plumber at John C. Dorsey in Riverdale, MD.
He then went to work for the Federal Government for the Department of Interior, National Park Service. He retired from the Federal Government with 20 years of service as a maintenance worker in June 2018.
Carl was twice married, first to the former Barbara Moore Chamberlain, Elkins, WV and Kimberly Painter Chamberlain, Crofton, MD.
He is also survived by two daughters Angie Talbott, Charleston WV and Misty Chamberlain, Crofton, MD, two sons Jeff Chamberlain (Barbie), Elkins WV
and Steven Chamberlain(Emily),Michigan. Grandchildren Alex, Brandon, Jarod, Brooklyn, Mads, Maverick, Lucian and Holly and 5 great grandchildren. His brother Alan Ross (Karen), Franklin, WV and Sisters Loretta Ferne Kalm and Judith Ann Mongan (John), Baltimore, MD Barbara June Welch, Woodstock, VA, Mary Lee Sterling, Canton Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Sister-In-Laws Jonni and Jean Chamberlain, Marcie Chamberlain and Brother-in-Law June Lanham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond, Harold and Wilbert, sisters Betty, Luella, Janet, his twin Carletta, Ellen and his son Michael McCartney.
Visitors will be received at Beall Funeral Home located at 6512 Crain Highway Bowie MD at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, the funeral service will follow at 11:00. Burial will take place in Maryland Veterans Cemetery located at 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville MD
