Carole Ruth Mills

Carole Ruth Mills of Crofton MD, passed away peacefully into God’s loving arms in the early morning of July 15, 2021 following complications after a stroke.
She was born in Cockeysville, MD on May 18, 1939, graduated from Towson High School in 1957, and, after getting married, lived briefly in the Chicago area before settling in Glen Burnie, MD. Later moving to Crofton, MD in 1968 to raise a family. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved by all her friends. She loved to travel, having lived three years in Harrogate, England, took multiple trips both within the U.S. and abroad, and later for a number of years living in Flagler Beach, FL. She loved to play Bridge and later in life enjoyed Mahjong. After returning to the Odenton area in 2015, she transitioned to Spring Arbor of Crofton assisted living in December, 2020.
Carole was preceded in death by her husband James Vernon Mills and sister Omi Oehme.
She is survived by her three sons, Gary (Nancy), Matthew, and Brady (Lori) and her beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Catie, Jesse, Brooke, Carter, Mackenzie, Brandon and Zachary.
The family welcomes donations to The American Cancer Society, Anne Arundel Medical Center, Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, or your favorite charity, as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
