Charles Oscar Albright was born on March 27, 1936 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to the late Clarence Albright and Olive (Sunderland) Albright.

 

He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 23 years and served in the Vietnam War.  He culminated his career in the Air Force serving in the 89th Airlift Wing supporting Air Force One.  After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority as a mechanic on the Metro Subway trains.

 

Charles was a devoted husband and shared 61 years of marriage to his wife (Wanda F. Albright) who proceeded him in death on June 12, 2021.  He was a wonderful father to his two children.  He enjoyed traveling to Hawaii with his beloved wife and friends.  He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and followed NASCAR and car number 9 driven by Chase Elliot.  He loved to Garden.

 

He is survived by his two children: Timothy Albright (his wife Tracey), and Debra Albright; 8 grandchildren: Ashley Gould (her husband Ryan), Nicholas Albright (his wife Susan), Laura Jarvis (her husband Christopher), Emily Gervais (her husband Timothy), John Albright (his wife Kelli), Daniel Fuller, Dawn Gilpin (her husband Branden) and Charles Fuller (and his wife Rebekah); 18 great-grandchildren: Ryley, Jackson, Tate, Delaney and Holland Gould; Calvin, Harrison and Dexter Albright; Cullen, Crosby, Everly, Emerson and Isla Jarvis; Bennett and Brighton Gervais; Grayson Albright; Corey and Kayla Travers.

 


Visitation at Beall Funeral Home, followed by burial with military honors at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.  

 

All welcome.
