Charles William Leonard

Charles “Charlie” William Leonard, age 60, longtime resident of Crofton, MD, peacefully returned to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021 while surrounded by his loving family. 

 

Charlie was born on October 1, 1961 to William James Leonard Jr. and Cha Yun Lee Leonard. He grew up in Severn, MD and went to Old Mill High School, played football as a Patriot, and graduated in 1980. He later worked for the State Department as an Information Security Officer and IT Specialist, where he had a reputation for his strong work ethic and excellent problem solving skills. 

 

He is survived by his best friend and wife, Shryl, his four incredible children, Chloe, Emma, Jordan, and Carlee, his beloved siblings, Myrna and Pete, and is preceded in passing by his parents. 

 

He was known by many as a faithful man of God, instilling his love for the Lord into his children and always striving to lead by example in walking a righteous path. Charlie made a point to tell everyone around him how much he loved them in every possible moment, and he is affectionately remembered as “low maintenance” because he put his family first in every aspect of his life. His sense of humor and tremendous presence will always be remembered and shared with adoration.
