Charles Harrison Nixon

Charles Harrison Nixon, born December 3, 1933, peacefully fell asleep in Jesus on January 6, 2025, at home, surrounded by family, and in full assurance of the soon appearance of his precious Lord and Savior, and the glorious resurrection.

Charlie/Dad/PopPop, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was the supportive husband of Teresa Marie Nixon (deceased), and loving father to Jude Ann Snyder (Jeff), Richard Nixon, Jennifer Holson, Lisa Charlson, and Angela Pycha (Mike). He was the beloved grandfather of Jason Snyder (Kelcy), Julie Snyder, Justin Nixon, Jay Nixon (Meghan), Nicholas Holson, Joseph Holson, Lauren Holson (Justin Cox), Eric Holson, Dean Charlson, Owen Pycha (Emily), and Olivia Pycha; great-grandfather to Emma Snyder, Caleb Snyder, Evie Nixon, Vale Nixon, Amelia Rafter, Penelope Cox, and Easton Cox. He was the much-loved brother of Elizabeth Parness, and preceded in death by siblings James Nixon and Mary Nixon; he was dear Uncle Charlie to many nephews and nieces, and friends alike.

A memorial service will be held at the Bell Branch Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gambrills, Maryland on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
