Cynthia Kay Frazier fell asleep in death on Monday, October 26, 2020, surrounded by her loving husband and three children. She was born on January 2, 1966, in Washington, DC to David and Valier Johnson. She was the oldest of three children.
Cynthia also known as “Cindy” graduated from Ballou Senior High School. She was employed by the federal government at HUD and later at the Drug Enforcement Administration as an IT Project Manager. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 29, 1985. She was a humble, faithful, and dedicated servant of Jehovah for 35 years. She really loved Jehovah and she would often talk about him to those around her. Because of which she was able to inculcate, not only a knowledge of Jehovah but also a love for him in her 3 children and other young family members.
Cynthia married the love of her life Kevin Douglas Frazier on July 30, 1988, and together they raised three wonderful daughters, Ambria Alexis Frazier, Amira Ayanna Frazier, and Amani Jamilah Frazier. She was a proud mother of her children and had a deep love for her siblings. She enjoyed traveling, planting flowers in her yard but what she enjoyed most was being surrounded by her family.
Many were drawn to her because of her fun-loving jovial personality and her genuine love and concern for others. All who knew her could attest to the fact that after meeting her, even if for the very first time, she made you feel as if you'd known her for a lifetime. Her beloved husband and family would jokingly call her "Queen Bee" or the “Diva of the Family” because of her stylish dress and exuberant personality. She was known for her one-of-a-kind laugh that could fill an entire room which was often followed up with a heavy-handed warm embrace. Although Cynthia fought a hard battle with cancer, she maintained a positive attitude, even going as far as speaking to others about her Bible-based hope. This Bible-based promise was so real to her that it enabled her to face her situation with such strength and courage.
She is survived by her husband Kevin Frazier; three children Ambria Frazier, Amira Washington (Elijah), Amani Frazier; one brother Dennis Johnson (Nubia), one sister Lisa Landers (Tony); five nieces Navia Landers, Sydney Johnson, Naya Frazier, Kara Frazier, Eryn Frazier; two nephews Jalen Landers and Antonio Landers (Monsey).
