Daniel Lawrence “Danny” Holt, 57, of Edgewater, Maryland, passed away on July 8, 2022, at his home from complications arising from a recent injury. Danny was born November 6, 1964, in Riverdale, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Holt. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Holt, of Crofton, Maryland and Naples, Florida; his fiancée, Laura Pometto of Edgewater and her children and grandchildren; his sons, Christian Holt (Damacely) and Brandon Holt of Maryland; his sisters, Diana Trankle of Maryland and Leslie Holt Cardelli (Ken) of Mississippi; and many other beloved relatives and friends.
Danny had a zest for life like no other and his talents were many. He was an accomplished IT Professional, avid boater, and family cook. He enjoyed entertaining guests, teaching tricks to his two dogs, and the band Queen. Danny was a lifelong fan of the Washington Redskins, karaoke, and, of course, bacon.
He loved playing poker, bowling and bonfires built for all night conversations. Most important to Danny were his beloved family and his cherished friends.
Danny is leaving us much too soon and there remains a hole in the hearts of all who knew him. He's left us with many wonderful memories that will sustain us forever. He will never be forgotten.
A service to honor and celebrate Danny’s life will be held on Sunday, July 24, at Walden Country Club, from 2:00-4:00. All are welcome.
