Deanna M. Schaeppi

Deanna Marie Wanczyk Schaeppi, age 51, of Crofton, Maryland, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019. She was born, August 31, 1967 in Ogden, Utah, to Sharon Jaseph Wanczyk Goetz and Jim Wanczyk.

She was a 1985 graduate of Ogden High School (Utah), where she was a member of the high school swim team.

Deanna studied at Weber State University (Utah) and graduated with an AAS and AS in Respiratory Therapy in 1989. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Utah in 1994.

She married Daniel Schaeppi March 14, 1997, in Las Vegas, NV, they were later divorced in 2004. Deanna gave birth to her daughter, McKenna Austyn Schaeppi in February 1999.

She is survived by her daughter, McKenna Schaeppi (Maryland), parents Sharon (Greg) Goetz, (Maryland), Jim Wanczyk (Utah), sister Stacey (David) Mortensen (Nevada), and brother Jeff Wanczyk (Gary Gastelu) (Florida). She was preceded in death by her brother Kelly James Wanczyk (May 2016).

Deanna had the opportunity to travel to many places and live in different parts of the country. Growing up she participated in bowling leagues and AAU club and team competitive swimming, traveling to many western states. For several years throughout her adult life she enjoyed being a Respiratory Therapist. Her biggest love, though, was her daughter, McKenna, who was the light of her life.
