Delores Bryant, of Chesapeake Beach, MD, died at home on September 23, 2023. She was born in Washington, DC in 1945 to Francis and Catherine Burke. She was the middle child of 5 children, Betty Lauricella, Teddy Burke, Terry Burke and Robin Kreamer.
Delores met the love of her life, Bob Bryant in 1961, while living in Southeast DC. The two were married on July 9, 1962.
Delores and Bob had two daughters, Ginger (Jamie) and Angela (Henry). She took great pride in maintaining a strong relationship with both of her daughters throughout her entire life. Though Delores loved raising her two daughters, her favorite role was that of Nana. She treasured her time with her grandchildren, Lee, Joff, Corbin, Rachael, Reanne & Parker.
Delores was a beloved member of her community, known for her caring nature and active involvement. Delores had a love for tennis. Every day, you could find her at the Cheverly Pool, playing matches with her dear friends. She also loved to play bridge weekly with her close friends. But her most favorite place in life was at her beach house in Ocean City Maryland surrounded by her family.
Everyone who knew Delores remembers her fondly for her wonderful endearing laugh that illustrated her uninhibited love for life.
We couldn’t have asked for a better wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend; and will miss Delores every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Catherine Burke, sister Betty Lauricella and brother Teddy Burke. She is survived by her husband Bob, daughters Ginger & Angela, grandchildren Lee, Joff, Corbin, Rachael, Reanne & Parker, brother Terry Burke & sister Robin Kreamer.
In honor of Delores, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
