Denise Yarian, a longtime resident of Bowie, Maryland, was born on September 19, 1946 in Queens, New York. She left this world far too soon, on June 1, 2019 in Annapolis, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Montgomery. A woman of rare grace and beauty both inside and out, she leaves behind a loving husband of nearly 38 years, Richard Yarian; a devoted son, Adam Yarian; her beloved extended family; and the many multitudes of people—ranging from close personal friends to mere passing acquaintances—whom she invariably touched, in ways great and small, with her radiant inner light.
Denise was a wonderful wife and mother, a cherished friend and confidante, a valued former employee of McGraw-Hill Publishing Company (happily retired since 2011), and a devout Catholic who attended St. Edward’s Catholic Church. In her later years, she also became an artist. She is truly irreplaceable, and the profound depth of the sorrow that her death now brings is a testament to the towering heights of the love that she inspired in life. She will never be forgotten by those who were lucky enough to have known her.
