Denny Cook of Bowie, MD (formerly of Green Meadows) passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Washington DC on October 15,1948 to the late Eddie and Rita Cook. Denny is preceded in death by his brothers Ricky, Marty and Robbie Cook, and Carolyn's grandson Silas.  He is survived by his precious wife, Carolyn; sisters Kathy (Ric Conn) and Margie (Mike Sasko); brothers John and Kevin Cook; nephews Eric Sasko and Mitchell Cook and niece Kathryn Sasko. He is also survived by Carolyn's children, grandchildren and great grandson (Ezra): daughter Noel (Nik and Abby), and son Josh and wife Angie (Devin, Ava and Evelyn).

Denny is a 1966 graduate of Northwestern HS and a 1968 graduate of the Columbia School of Broadcasting.  In his early 20's, he worked the nightshift as the 'blue eyed soul' disk jockey at radio station WHTU in Thurmont MD.  While Denny was involved throughout his youth with sports, MUSIC has been his life-long passion.  He said that at the age of 8 he heard "Hound Dog" by Elvis and he was hooked!

Denny co-founded the incredibly successful Fabulous Hubcaps who have brought so much joy and happiness to thousands of people over so many years. He was a skilled, professional, dedicated and extremely talented entertainer.

Denny expressed his feelings in this message left for all of us whose lives he touched. "It's been an incredible journey.  We've had the privilege of playing for generations of fans and are grateful for the support and loyalty we've received over the years." 

Denny is satisfied and resting in peace.  Be happy with him, and remember him.
