Dominick Ruggiero

July 12, 1933 — May 31, 2021

Dominick Ruggiero, 87, of Englewood, New Jersey peacefully passed away at home on May 31, 2021 from cancer.  Beloved husband of Mona Drexler for 29 years.  He is survived by his children Paul and Marc Ruggiero and step children Wendy O’Neill and Craig Cooper.  Also survived by grandchildren Sarah and Nicholas Ruggiero, Katie Kelley, Emily and Rachel O’Neill, and Olivia Shutt. He is also survived by brother Phillip Ruggiero, his nephew Phillip Ruggiero Jr. and his niece Joanne Iafelice.

He was a Korean War Veteran serving in both the Navy and Air Force.  Dominick graduated from Bowie State University and worked as an imagery analyst for the U.S. Government for 43 years.

Dominick was a very generous and friendly individual.  Often times he would meet people in grocery stores and restaurants many times picking up their tab because their children were so well behaved.  He also helped out family and friends who were having a tough time financially asking for nothing in return.  Dominick was a top notch babysitter, and later on chauffeur.  He never missed a recital, concert, or graduation.  Dominick loved to gamble, travel, and work in the garden.  In his earlier years he enjoyed golf and tennis.  He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of crossing his path.
