Donald Lee Hopkins, age 69, died on May 7, 2024, in Annapolis, Maryland. Donny is survived by his loving spouse, Vivelinda Hopkins, his stepdaughters Vitoria Sanchez and Idalia Lopes, and his siblings James Hopkins, Duane Hopkins, and Cindy Garcia.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Viola Jane Hastings and James Oliver Hopkins and his grandparents, Charles and Mary Lee Baker.
Donny was born on January 18, 1955, in Cheverly, Maryland. He grew up in Latham, Maryland, and graduated from DuVal High School on June 11, 1973. Donny was a talented electrician. He was a devoted husband, stepfather, and step-grandfather to: Angela Ahmadi, Jessica Machado Scarce, Christopher Ahmadi, Justin Lopes, and Maribel Sanchez. He was also an exceptional step-great grandfather to: Skyler Scarce, Adien Scarce, Ashton Scarce, and Roman Moss.
Donny was a great family man, who loved reading and sports — especially the Washington Redskins and Washington Nationals. His friends and family will always remember him as a giving, kind, and fun loving man.
