Don was born March 26, 1951 in Fargo, ND to Chanis and Llyod Klontz. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1974 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and his MBA from Arizona State in 1981. While in Arizona, Don met his wife, Anne; the love of his life. They lived in southern California and the United Kingdom, after which they returned to southern California with their UK-born children, before moving to Bowie, MD in 1994. Although Don has been a widower since 2009, all can attest Anne has been with him these past 15 years.
Don was a devout Catholic and proud Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He loved music, dancing, bridge, baseball and old movies.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 10am, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Ascension Catholic Church, 12700 Lanham Severn Rd., Bowie, MD. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be held at 1pm. If desired, contributions may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation, https://support.pkdcure.org/give/502771/#!/donation/checkout.
