On Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021, Donald Lee Luedtke died at Home in Lanham, MD of natural causes at the age of 74 years old.
Don is survived by his Wife, Sharon D. Osti Luedtke and their children April of Lanham, MD, Adam and his Wife, Mary of Bowie, MD , Andrew and his Wife, Kari of Odenton, MD, and Amber and her Husband, Matthew of Salisbury, MD, and his grandchildren: Lacey(14), Ivy (11), Chloe (10), Meadow (2), and Audrey (2). He was the son of Kersey Eugene Luedtke and Goldie Grace Paben Luedtke, and younger brother to Kenneth E Luedtke of Hastings, Nebraska.
Don was born on May 20th, 1947 in Loup City, Nebraska. He graduated from Hasting High School in Hastings, Nebraska in 1965. After graduation, he went onto serve in the Air Force Honor Guard at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC. He served from 1966-1970 and was honorably discharged. After serving in the Military, Don continued his education at Refrigeration Service Engineers Society to earn a Masters Certification in HVAC Engineering and also served as Vice President.
Don married Sharon in August of 1970. They first met in December 31, 1967 at Drug Fair store in Marlow Heights, Maryland where they both worked. They had a very beloved happy marriage for 51 years. They welcomed April C. Luedtke in 1973, Adam D. Luedtke in 1976, Andrew E. Luedtke in 1982, and Amber K. Warren (Luedtke) in 1986. Don was a Corvette enthusiast, enjoyed watching classic westerns, playing with his cat, and loved spending his time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Memorial services for Don are scheduled for Monday, October 18th, 2021 between 6PM-8PM (Viewing) and Tuesday, October 19th, 2021 at 11AM (Funeral) at Beall Funeral Home. It will be immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, Crownsville, MD.
