Donald Edward Miller

April 18, 1935 — December 31, 2021

We celebrate the life and memories of Donald Edward “Donnie - Don" Miller who passed away on December 31st 2021. 

Donnie was born in the District of Columbia (N.E. DC) on April 18, 1935 to Edward

Washington and Eleanor Beatrice (Brown)  Miller.  They moved to Maryland Park in the 1945 where Don attended Seat Pleasant Elementary, Lyndon Hill Junior High School, and graduated from Suitland High School in 1954.  Don was a talented athlete/Ball player lettering in 3 sports, (Football Basketball and Soccer), and was named on All County Football Team as a Tight End.  

Don married the love of his life and best friend Margaret Louise Stiles in April 1955 and they raised their family in North Forestville, Maryland.  

Don had many interests which included photography, travel, and sports.  There was no place off limits when it came to traveling.  Don took his family cross country to Colorado, the southwest, and the Dakotas.  He and Margaret traveled countless times to Europe, Northern Africa, South America and all over the Caribbean.  

He is survived by his wife Margaret, children Denise Miller (Bruce Washko), Duane (Antoinette), Bart (Ginger) Miller; seven grandchildren whom he adored:  Michael, Marcy, Christopher, Britt, Ashley, Haley and Natalie, nine great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.   

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 2:00pm-3:30pm followed by a memorial service at Beall Funeral Home.
