Doris R Conrad, 95, formerly of Ft Myers, Florida current resident of Gambrills, Maryland passed away on June 7, 2024. She was born in Ballston, Virginia to Harry R. and M. Pauline (Richardson) Hutchings and grew up in southeast Washington, DC. Doris was very active until a recent stroke. She loved her family and enjoyed playing games, making her own greeting cards, and retirement life in Florida. She was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church in Fort Myers, FL. Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Bruce, her parents and sisters, Kathleen Boswell (Frank), Margie Scott (C. V. “Scotty”), Evelyn Owens (William), and Juanita Graul. Doris is survived by her daughter Janet, son Stephen, brother Major Hutchings (Roberta), many nieces, nephews, their children and friends throughout the country.

A private service will be held in the future to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Faith United Methodist Church, 15690 McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers, Florida 33908 or to Montgomery Hospice Casey House, 6001 Muncaster Mill Rd, Rockville, Maryland 20855.
