Doris Romaine Groff

Doris Groff (nee Huber) was born on the 31st of August, 1931 in Conestoga, Pennsylvania.

She grew up in Conestoga the third of four children and graduated from high school in 1953.

She worked as a secretary in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for eight years before marrying Larry

Groff in 1961.  The couple settled in York, Pennsylvania and reared four children.  The family

relocated to Crofton, Maryland in 1975 where Doris spent the rest of her life.

She will be remembered as a caring wife and mother with a sweet and steady disposition. 

Doris was a good judge of character, a pleasant friend and always had a kind word for others.

Her unsung life was a quiet example of good deeds and constancy in an ever-turbulent world.

Doris was a longtime member of Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church in Crofton.

She is survived by two sons, a daughter and eleven grandchildren.
