Edna Alverta Adams, 87, from Hyattsville Maryland, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 1st 2023. She was born to the late Mary and Albert Adams on September 23rd 1935. After graduating from Bladensburg High school in 1953, she became a dedicated corporate accounts manager and retired after 38 years of recognized service with C&P telephone company.
Edna is survived by her four daughters (Susan Miller, Sherri Spain, Sunita Liddick and Stacey Needham) whom she adopted as babies and raised as a single Mom; she loved her brother Edward Adams whom she spent a lot of time with growing up, and she dearly loved her 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Edna’s hobbies included being an active member in her community park and planning, planting flowers, and taking advantage of beautiful sunny days outdoors. She enjoyed baking, sewing and for many years attended church regularly. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, caring for her cats beyond measure and was a proud mother and grandmother. Our Mom will be greatly missed.
