Edna May Klakring

Edna May Klakring, of Annapolis, MD, passed away at the age of 90, just shy of her 91st birthday, on April 27, 2022. She grew up in Weems Creek, MD, with her four siblings, daughter of Raymond and Annie Hibberd. During her marriage to Harold Klakring, they spent several years in Florida while he was in the Air Force where their two sons, Michael and Kevin, were born.  After leaving the service, they moved back to Annapolis to be near family and friends where their daughter, Dana, was born.  Edna was a wonderful homemaker and mother.  After the children were grown, she was employed by the Maryland Association of Realtors from which she retired.  She loved spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, sewing, and taking long walks in the woods. She is predeceased by her son, Kevin Klakring, and her husband of 72 years.  She is survived by her children, Michael (Doria), and Dana (David, III), daughter-in-law Cathy, grandchildren Karie, Alexis, Michael (Brigette), Caleb, David (Deanna), Sean, Nathan (Kristin) and Diane (Kasey), and great grandchildren Madelynne, Mikaela, Luke, Kevin and Sophie. 

 

Our family will be receiving friends at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway, Bowie, MD, for a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 1:00 pm - 2:30 p.m. with a service following at 2:30 p.m.
