Edward S. Keller

March 9, 1926 — October 13, 2018

Edward (“Ed”) S. Keller, of Gambrills MD, formerly of Monroe Township NJ, Glen Ridge NJ, and Brooklyn NY, died on October 13, 2018.  Born March 9, 1926, to Maynard and Lavena Keller, brother of Lyndon and Margaret Keller (both deceased), Ed was married to the love of his life and the girl next door, Anita Elias, who predeceased him in 2007.  No doubt Ed wanted to join his beloved “Niti” for a dance the next day, on what would have been their 67th wedding anniversary.

Ed joined the Navy in 1944 and was selected for an elite training program, through which he earned a BA degree from Harvard University.  He made his career in the textile industry, working as a sales representative for both Milliken and Burlington Industries in New York City.

Ed enjoyed golf, reading, playing cards, and woodworking.  The consummate gentleman, Ed was the “host with the most” at many family and neighborhood gatherings, ensuring no glass was empty or need unanswered.  Ed loved the annual family vacations at the Jersey shore and indulged Niti in the occasional visit to Atlantic City to satisfy her nickel slot machine urges.

Ed was predeceased by his youngest daughter, Elizabeth Lowe (husband Scott). He is survived by his son Paul Keller; daughters Patricia Scoville (Tim) and Katherine Reimann (Mark); grandchildren Kelly Bressler (John), John Scoville, Thomas Reimann (Brittney), Jennifer Reimann, and Robert Lowe; and great-grandchildren Jack and Luke Bressler and Adeline Reimann.

A burial service will be held at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD, on October 27, 2018 at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Fisher House Foundation, Fisher House Foundation, Inc., 12300 Twinbrook Parkway #410, Rockville, MD 20852 or Heartland Hospice, 4 East Rolling Crossroads, Suite 307, Catonsville, MD 21228.
