Eileen Ann Catherine McCaffery Lapriola, resident of Bowie, MD died on March 31, 2020. She was born in Danville PA on December 15, 1942. A teacher and coordinator in Prince George’s County Schools in Maryland. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, PA and was a graduate assistant at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD where she received a Master of Arts degree. Eileen also completed 30 credits in post graduate courses. She was a life member and officer in Sigma Kappa Sorority and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society and Phi Alpha Epsilon Honorary Fraternity at the University of Maryland.
Eileen wrote The History of the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation and its Role in Physical Education and Recreation for the Mentally Retarded. It has 461 pages and copyrighted in the Library of Congress.
She is predeceased in death by her husband Michael J. Lapriola who was on a football scholarship for the University of Maryland, a noted soloist, a Principal for Prince Georges County Schools and had a Master of Arts degree from George Washington University in Washington DC and her parents Emma and Edward McCaffery of Danville, PA. She is survived by one son Michael E. Lapriola and his wife Chanda Tucker Lapriola, three grandchildren Tucker, McCaffery and Flannery and a brother Edward McCaffery, Jr. of Danville, PA.
