Elena Ann Kukulies

Elena Ann Kukulies, 31, formerly of Columbia, MD, died on December 9 at her home in Odenton, MD.  Elena was born on March 6, 1989 in Rota, Spain. She attended schools in Maine, Virginia, Bahrain, and Maryland. Elena graduated from Atholton High School in Columbia, where she ran Track and Cross Country and from the University of Maryland, College Park. She was a Senior CSR at Len the Plumber in Baltimore. Elena was the youngest child of Captain Alan F. Kukulies (Ret. Navy)and Ann Kukulies of Odenton who survive. She is also survived by her sister, Emily Kukulies, and brother-in-law, Arnold Abangan, of Hawaii, her brother, Isaac Kukulies, and sister-in-law, Soraya Kukulies, of Crofton, her brother, Zachary Kukulies, of Odenton, and nieces, Uluwehi Abangan and Esmeralda and Ruby Kukulies, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins in Indiana.

Elena’s greatest gift was her deep joy that she radiated and her ability to share that joy with others. Her family asks that if you wish to honor her memory, you find opportunities to share that joy with others. You may also make a donation in her name to the American Heart Association. Due to COVID, there will be no calling hours or funeral service at this time.
