Elizabeth A. Novotny

May 12, 1965 — October 15, 2020

Elizabeth Ann Novotny, 55, passed away after a long battle with cancer

on October 15th, 2020 in Columbia, MD. Elizabeth, known to friends and

family as Beth, was born as one of five children on May 12th, 1965 in

Baltimore, MD to Joseph and Patricia

Novotny. After growing up in Crofton, MD she attended Coastal Carolina

University in South Carolina and moved back to Maryland to have her

daughter, Malarie. Later she graduated from University of Maryland,

Baltimore County in the top ten percent of her class with hopes set on

the future; She had a huge passion for political science and law which

led to her obtaining her law degree from University of Maryland,

Baltimore.

Beth is survived by her parents, Joseph and Patricia; her daughter

Malarie (Zak); her granddaughter Juliette; her brothers Joseph (Lisa),

Jeffrey, and Matthew; and her nieces and nephews.

A private mass for the family will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday,

October 22nd at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Crofton, MD.

Interment at Our Lady of the Fields will follow the Mass. A link to a

live stream of the mass will be provided and posted online. In lieu of

flowers donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in

Beth’s name.
