Elizabeth “Aileen” Penkert went home to our lord on July 11,2020 at age 82.

Aileen is predeceased by her adored parents Goldie Brown and Samuel Pruett, Sister Emilie and brother James. 

Aileen is survived by her loving husband Larry J Penkert of 57 years.  They were married in Arlington Virginia on October 5,1962. 

Aileen is lovingly remembered by her children, Paul Christopher (Barbara), Michael(Jessica), Patricia Palttala (Ari), Anthony (Nicole) and finally Mary Somosky (Vincent), Twelve grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren ,her sister Bobbie Dellinger, and many nieces and nephews.

Aileen was born in Welch, West Virginia on February 4,1938.  She graduated from Welch Hight School in 1957, She then went to Washington, DC and perused a career in bookkeeping.  She later met Larry Penkert and soon became a wife and devoted mother of five children. 

Aileen was beyond kind to everyone she encountered and knew no strangers. She was loved and will be missed by all.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18th between 2:00-4:00pm, with Father Fagan.
