Emery was preceded in death by his father Cecil Gordon Davison.
He was born on May 1, 1962 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and grew up all around the United States as the son of a service member. Emery graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in 1980 and later worked in various jobs that required a dedication to serving others. One of those jobs included being a counselor at Threshold Services, an organization that provided mental help and rehabilitation services to low income families, the elderly, and those with disabilities.
In 2007 Emery began working at Whole Foods Market as a Grocery / Merchandise Clerk and it was a very special part of his life. He was a valued Whole Foods Team Member who made many close friends and lifted everyone’s spirits with his infectious smile, quick wit, kindness, and compassion.
One of the many highlights in Emery’s life was travelling to Madagascar in 2016 as part of a Whole Foods Team Member program that helped support Green Missions for healthy eating. One of his many rewarding community service projects included helping repair schools in Madagascar and learning how to harvest cocoa beans for Madécasse chocolates.
Emery enjoyed fishing, taking trips to Ocean City, Maryland solo and with his brothers, and also attending men’s bible study at the Church of God Light to the World in Harwood, Maryland. He loved to get involved with local community services when able. Emery will be truly missed.
