Etelvina Cartagena, age 77, passed away peacefully on the evening of August 7, 2024. Born on October 6, 1946, in her beautiful country of El Salvador to parents Eduardo Cartagena and Maria Lidia Moran. She was the third oldest of six siblings. She was a loving spouse of fifty years to Jeremiah Clarke and a devoted mother of two to Lidia and Nancy.

She was deeply devoted to her faith and family raising two strong and confident daughters. She was a generous, loving, and kind mother who reinforced the importance of caring for others, loving your family, and helping those in need. Etelvina was a doting grandmother to her five grandchildren, Zachary (25), Nicholas (23), Gabriella (12), Elijah (10), and Xavier (9), whom she loved deeply. For her grandchildren, the word “no” did not exist! Her family and extended family will greatly miss her. They are comforted knowing she is resting peacefully with her Lord and Savior.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Beall Funeral Home, Bowie, MD from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. On Thursday, August 22, at 11:00 a.m., a funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Crofton, MD, followed by the burial at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Bladensburg, MD.
