PREAMBLE: “FOR HE HIMSELF KNOWS OUR FRAME: HE IS MINDFUL THAT WE ARE BUT DUST” PSALM 103:14
Indeed, God knows our frame, that we are but dust and as for the days of man, they are like grass. As the flowers of the field, so he flourishes, when the wind has passed over it, it is no more.
Flora Aigbomian fondly called by many mama and grandma by her children, grand children and numerous Friends and well wishers. She was born on April 4, 1946 in Illeh Ekpoma in Esan local government area in Edo State Nigeria and passed away on September 8, 2020. She first came to the US in 1991 to help care for her first grand daughter who was born prematurely to a very sick mom. That was how mama’s caring minister started which was very rewarding and fulfilling to her as she was there to help many who needed help emotionally and spiritually.
Mama as we have always known her was a loving responsible and peaceful woman, and a submissive wife. Infact, this would be my recommendation of every woman or wife to to cultivate these attributes.
As we grew up to knowing mama we found these qualities in her to be quite admirable. She always wants to do what is right inspite the odds. She was God fearing and led a very spirit filled life with so much joy and happiness. She exudes many good character traits by reason of her firm dedication to serving God. This would explain her joy in the service of the most high God.
Even looking back at her life in our country of origin Nigeria, the attributes of a virtuous woman was transcended.
She is survived by six children and 16 grand children. Bridget Ojo, Pat Ajayi, Ocee Esene, Abee Esene, Okoedo Esene, Yvonne Ogundipe and wonderful sons in-law and daughters in-law.
Mama will be fondly remembered by multitudes of people globally, whose lives she positively impacted in various ways.
Adieu Mama, till we meet again, we will surely miss you, but we take consolation in our faith that there’s “Resurrection” after death. May your soul rest in perfect peace. Amen
