Florence Elizabeth Zook

Florence Elizabeth Zook, born September 21, 1929, passed away on March 20, 2020. Florence was born and raised in Washington, DC, and graduated from St. Cecilia’s Academy.

Florence was the 3^rd child born to the late Henry Francis and Mary Florence Collins. Her brothers William, Richard and Henry and sister Alice Frankforther, predeceased her as well as her son, Dudley and great granddaughter Gracey Lee. She was the beloved wife of the late Vance Zook for 62 years. Florence will forever be remembered by her children, sons, David, Donald, Daniel, and Duane; daughters, Deborah Savage, Denise Taylor and Diana Klotz and her sister, Mary Dixon. She treasured her 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and she was excited for the twin great-great grandsons who will be here soon, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her.

In addition to spending time with her family, Florence loved putting jigsaw puzzles together, playing mahjong, bingo and bocce ball with her friends at Collington. Florence also loved to crochet and her works brought a smile to many, many faces over the years.

She will be missed by all. Funeral services will be private. A celebration gathering is being planned for September.
