Francisco Francés Ortiz

Francisco "Paco" Frances Ortiz, age 81 of Bowie, MD passed away on November 24, 2019 in Largo, MD. Paco was born and raised in El Salvador by his mother, Lucia Anaya. Years later, Paco and his wife would immigrate to Los Angeles, California in 1969, and would bring their children to the Washington, D.C. area to begin a new life during the early 1970s.

Paco's passion was soccer. He began playing as a small boy with balls he made out of socks. He later became a Professional Goal Keeper, where he played for the National Teams in El Salvador: FAS, Aguila, Atletico Marte, Atletico Constancia, and Alianza Intercontinental.

 Paco may not have agreed with your choices but that never stopped him from loving you. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He valued bonding and talking about life over watching tv.  He loved to offer advice and give you the support you didn’t know you needed. Paco also loved traveling back home to El Salvador to visit friends and relatives. 

 Paco was preceded in death by three of his sons, Mario, Francisco, and Melvin. Paco is survived by his wife, Consuelo Ortiz and their children, Sandra, Oscar, Jaime, Consuelo, and Claudia. Paco is also survived by his children Miguel, Sandra, Patricia. In addition; he is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  He loved and adored us all, near or far.
