Fred Dean Woodruff born on November 23, 1943, departed this life on November 20, 2020.  The youngest child of Douglas & Anna Woodruff, Fred had five (5) siblings James Clarence, Douglas, Robert, Julia, and William, all who preceded him in death.

Fred attended the DC Public School System and graduated from McKinley Technical High School.  Fred served in the US Army and then went on to work with the State Department, US Postal Service, DC Transit and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA).  After 30 years, Fred retired from WMATA in 2009.  He was a sports enthusiast and an avid Washington Redskins fan.

Fred is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Lisa D. Woodruff, three (3) daughters: Kim-Shawn Gary; Shkan Woodruff; and Bailey Woodruff, one (1) grandson Dominique Woodruff, one (1) sister-in-law Mary Woodruff and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
