Garry J. Selles

It is with great sadness that the family of Garry J. Selles, of Upper Marlboro, MD, announce his passing on January 9, 2023.

Born to his loving mother Helen Selles, on September 20, 1951, in Bronx, New York, Garry spent much of his younger life in Florida where he attended high school and college.  Later, he moved to Maryland with his wife Joyce, and eventually retired.

Garry was an active member of the St. Mary of the Assumtion Church for many years.  He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus even serving as Grand Knight from 2011 to 2013.  Garry had an unwavering faith in God, and his faith only grew stronger in his final years of life.

He will be remembered by his loving wife of 47 years, Joyce, brother, Emanual DeMaris and his wife, Gail, and many nieces and nephews.  Garry was loved by so many.  His positive outlook and kind heart made an impression wherever he went.  His wonderful sense of humor and competitive nature will be greatly missed.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 18th, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church.  Visitation starts at 10:00am with a full Catholic Service starting at 11:00am.  The repast will be held following the service at the Church Hall.
