George Frank Marmaras

November 5, 1931 — December 23, 2021

On Thursday, December 23, 2021 George Frank Marmaras of Lutherville, Maryland and formally Perry Hall, Maryland passed away.  He was 90 years old.  George was an entrepreneur and chef.  Founder of George’s Cafeteria on the Dundalk and Locust Point Marine Terminals.  Also, former owner of the Double-T-Diners in Rosedale and Perry Hall, and Pepe’s Drive-In in Roland Park.

He was the beloved husband of Peggy (nee Maistros) Marmaras, devoted father of Maria Giannakis and her husband Anastasios, loving grandfather of Panagiota Anagnostou and her husband Akis, Emmanuel Giannakis, Rebecca Giannakis, George Giannakis and his wife Tigest, great-grandfather of Carmella and Giovanni Giannakis, Konstantinos and Anastasios Anagnostou and Gabriel Giannakis.  Also survived by his sister Katerina Kontos, many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
