Anna Pavlakos Sotirakos

Anna (Pavlakos) Sotirakos passed away peacefully, with her children by her side, on November 9, 2020. Anna was born on September 19, 1939.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ioannis (John). They were married on July 30, 1960. Also by her parents Kostantinos and Yiannoula Pavlakos and her brothers Andrew and Theofilos.
She is survived by her daughter Bessie and son Pete (Yvette), grandchildren, Gabrielle, Gina and Zachary and great-grandchildren, Coral and Anthony. Also survived by brothers Panagiotis, George and Efotios, along with her loving Sisters-in-Law and many cousins, nieces and
nephews.
Anna was the most loving, caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and YiaYia.
Like Princess Diana was everyone’s princess, Anna was everyone’s YIAYIA.
Family will receive friends on Monday, November 16, 2020 from 11:00 to 11:30 at Saint
Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2504 Cub Hill Road, Parkville, MD 21234, followed by a
funeral service. Interment Saint Demetrios Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomas C. Zachos Mitochondrial Research
Chair.
