Mrs. Helen German, 92, of Baltimore, Maryland died March 5, 2021. Born to James and Anna Tangires, sister of the late Evelyn Tangires Henry, Margaret Tangires Alatzas, Harry Tangires, Diana Tangires Poggi, Bess Tangires Welsh, and survived by her brother William Tangires. She graduated from University of Maryland and began her career as a social worker for the state of Maryland. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 60 years and loving mother to Jeff and Paul and her daughter-in-laws, Tracy and Beth respectively and an always attentive Yiayia to Jeffrey Jr, Andrew, Alexander, Sophia and Anna.
Helen’s priority in life was God, family, cooking and reading. She was an excellent chef in the kitchen and enjoyed sharing her talents and recipes with her family to keep the tradition alive. She loved to travel with her husband and family to learn more about the world. Her favorite books were anything by James Patterson and she was never without a book to read. Her faith kept her grounded and full of inspiration of hope. She was never shy to express her opinions and she was most loyal to her family in all aspects. She was very loved, honored and respected. May her memory be eternal.
