Henry (Hank) Newton Fisher
July 2, 1931 - December 17, 2020
Hank Fisher passed away peacefully after a long illness with his family by his side.
Hank was born in Cleveland, Ohio and earned his B.S. Physics degree at Case University. Hank was a physicist at the National Laboratory in Los Alamos. Besides working on various projects at the Los Alamos Lab including geothermal energy, fusion energy, and weapons designs. Hank loved to explore the outdoors. As an avid rock climber he met his late wife, Kay Harrington, during one of his climbs. Together they had one son, Robin. Kay and Hank married in1960 and settled down in White Rock, New Mexico.
Hank had many interests in life; he built and used his own scuba gear, earned a black belt in Karate, and pursued photography and astronomy. Hank built his own telescope observatory and telescope to go in it.
Hank is survived by his son, Robin, his daughter-in-law Patsy, two grandchildren Racheal and Sam, all of Crofton, Md, a brother Ed and his wife, Sharon, and nephews Kurt, Scott and Langdon, all of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Hank was a humble, patient man who gave us his strength without question. His family, colleagues and friends including so many at Brightview Senior Living Home in Crofton, were blessed to have had him in their lives.
In lieu of Flowers, the family is asking for donations to the WellsSpring Brightview Senior Care.
An interment will be scheduled for late spring in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
