Hilda Arlene Rapp

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Hilda Arlene Rapp early on Tuesday morning, August 27, 2024. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lee, Sr, she is survived by her children Edwin (Denise), Lee, Jr (Deborah) Jackson and Janet. She was born in Fairmont, WV on March 7, 1932, and was a long time resident of Abell, Maryland. She spent her winters in Lakeland, Florida where she had many friends. She will be greatly missed. Hilda was very involved in the Rapp Contracting, Inc and was an integral part of operations for many years. She enjoyed life and was involved in numerous organizations including The Lioness Club, American Legion of Greenbelt and Eastern Star.

There will be a celebration of life service at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway, Bowie, MD, 20715 on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 2 to 4 PM. Hospice @ St Mary's, was wonderful to Hilda in her final days; we are requesting donations be made in Hilda's name In lieu of flowers to Hospice of St Mary's,44724 Hospice Lane, Callaway, MD, 20620. In addition there will be a short 15 minute interment service on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 11:15 AM at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Robert S Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20653.
