Hoyt F. Williams, Jr.

It is with great sorrow and a heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hoyt F. Williams Jr., lovingly known as “Poppi” on May 21^st 2023.

Hoyt (Poppi) was a loving husband to his wife, Lawese D Williams, with whom he shared an undenying deep love, romance, truth, adoration, and travel experiences together. For their love was only one a few could imagine.

Hoyt(Poppi) was born to Jalease and Hoyt Williams Sr. in Lexington, SC.  He is survived by his brother & wife Jehue and Jean Williams, his sister & husband Linda and Bobby Ebron, favorite niece & husband Angela and Bill Martin, nieces Susan & Laura, and his nephew Jason.

Hoyt (Poppi) is survived by his daughters Renee, Angel, and Asia & husband Carter Hall.  His son Rob, his grandchildren Izaiah, Malayshia , Jerimiah, Elijah, Rachel, and Darius.  He also leaves behind a host of other family and friends that loved and adored him and his wonderful spirit.  He will be missed dearly by us all.  His final wishes were that this passage be read by those whom he loved and those whom loved him.

When I Must Leave You

When I must leave you for a little while- Please do not

Grieve and shed wild tears, and hug your sorrow to you through the years.

But start out bravely with a gallant smile. And for my sake and in my name, live on and do all the things same.

Feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill each waking hour in useful ways.

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer, and I in turn will comfort you and hold you near.

And never, never be afraid to die, for I am waiting for you in the sky.
