James Allen Hudgins, Sr.

February 6, 1928 — August 6, 2018

James Allen Hudgins, Sr., passed away on August 6, 2018. Born at home in Colmar Manor, MD on February 6, 1928.  Jim was active in the Boys Club, served as a Seabee U.S. Navy WWII, and worked for Pepco and Marriott Corp. Survived by four children, Ray Hinkle, Linda Calloway, Barbara Burkett and James Hudgins, Jr.; sister Dorothy (Dot) Boarman; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth (Betty), sons Brian and Barry Hinkle, granddaughter Jennifer Hinkle and grandson David Adams; four brothers and one sister.  A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Crofton, 1690 Crofton Pkwy, Crofton, MD on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 12pm. A reception will follow after the service. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD, Monday, August 27, 2018, at 1pm. It is requested if you have a picture Jim painted for you please bring it to the church to be displayed.
