Jean Elizabeth Spicer

Jean Elizabeth Spicer, age 92, of Bowie, MD, passed away on April 12, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born in Inwood, WV, on November 22, 1932 to Lenna Okla Watts and Virgil Beacher Watts. She attended McKinley Technical High School in Washington, D.C.

Jean married Raymond Mallory Spicer, Sr. on May 12, 1951 in Washington, D.C. Together they had two children, Raymond Mallory Spicer, Jr. and Susan Lynn Bickford. She served as the primary caregiver for her beloved husband for over 30 years prior to his passing in 2003.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers - Waldo Watts and Paul Kenneth "PK" Watts, and her loving husband of 52 years.

She is survived by her two children, Susan Lynn Bickford (Wayne) and Raymond Mallory Spicer, Jr. (Gloria). Also surviving are her five grandchildren - Christopher Spicer, Michael Spicer (Jamie), Emily Feigl (Jeff), Jack Bickford (Nicole), and Kelly Koorey (Alex), as well as her seven great-grandchildren - Grant, Wyatt, Mallorie, Tripp, Cali, Jackson, and Caden.

A closed memorial service will be held for family at Beall Funeral Home on April 21, 2024.
