Jeanna Marie Acklin

Jeanna Marie Acklin of Odenton, MD passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on March 31, 2023 after an eight month battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her family and her loved ones. She leaves behind her husband, David Acklin of 42 years, her daughter Stephanie, her son Collin, and her granddogs Axel and Bentley. She also leaves behind her three sisters, Brandi Norris, Holly Cheatham and Lindsey Cheatham Staub, along with three nieces and four nephews. 

Jeanna was born in Prince Georges County, MD on January 14th, 1967. In her early years she enjoyed working at the local bakery and going roller skating with her girlfriends on Friday nights. She attended Bladensburg High School where she received her high school diploma and met her highschool sweetheart who would later become her husband. After graduating high school she worked for the government where she was a dedicated employee for over 30 years. 

Some of Jeanna’s hobbies included quilting, crafting, and taking pictures to capture memories to create beautiful scrapbooks for our family. Some of her favorite things included enjoying a cup of coffee with loved ones, peaceful mornings on her back porch and going to the beach.

Jeanna will be remembered for her gracious and kind heart, her faith in the Lord and always being the glue that held the family together. She will be missed by many and her loving presence will live on forever.
