Joan S. McFadyen

Joan “Jaycie” McFadyen passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on February 3, 2024. She was born in New London, CT and was the third child of Ruth and Eli Swatsburg. Jaycie is survived by her son Matthew (Sarah), daughter Lynn (Kevin), brother Peter (Becky) and her sister Jane (Hugh). Jaycie was the beloved “Nana” to seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James.

Jaycie will be deeply missed by many and leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and endless laughter. Services will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
