April 6, 1928 – March 23, 2021

We are saddened at the passing away of Mr. John M. Burdusi 92, “Chrysostomos” the beloved husband of the late Lamona K. Burdusi (nee Kootsouradis) devoted father of Rev. Manuel J. Burdusi and his wife, Presbytera Malama (Molly), and Michael J. Burdusi of Dover, Delaware.  John is survived by his two grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Julie, and Aristea as well as one great grandchild, Charles Nicholas.

John was born in Lipsos Greece in 1928 and came to America at the age of 18.  He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.  He worked as a meat packer for 35 years at the famous “ESSKAY” meat company on Baltimore St. Was married for 47 years to the love of his life, Lamona K. Burdusi.  They both retired in 1990 and John enjoyed retirement life for 30 years.  John was a devout Orthodox Christian and followed his son’s ministry to three parishes listed below.    

VISITATION – AT ST. THEODORE’S

Visitation will be on Tuesday evening, March 30, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at St. Theodore Greek Orthodox Church 7101Cipriano Road Lanham, MD 20706.    Trisagion Service will be at 7 p.m. 

LITURGY – AT ST. NICHOLAS

On Wednesday morning, March 31, 2021 there will be a Pre-Sanctified Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church 520 South Ponca Street Baltimore MD from 9 a.m. til 10:30 a.m. 

VISITATION- AT ST. NICHOLAS  

Visitation will continue on Wednesday morning at St. Nicholas Church 520 S. Ponca Street Baltimore MD 21224 from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon.

FUNERAL – AT ST. NICHOLAS

Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.   Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Baltimore County, MD
