In the early hours of May 19, 2024, the car community suffered a profound loss with the tragic passing of John M. Phipps due to senseless gun violence. At just 26 years old, John's passion for cars was ingrained in his very being since birth. To him, cars weren't just vehicles; they were vessels that fostered a sense of community and belonging for all who shared his passion.
John, known affectionately as Panda, was more than just an enthusiast; he was a beacon of warmth and kindness, a gentle giant who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. As a co-founder of Hallow Squad Car Club, his dedication to his craft and his community was unmatched. His infectious spirit and love for life knew no bounds, and his favorite color, pink, was a testament to his vibrant personality.
Sadly, John's journey was cut short, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. In loving memory, we bid farewell to John. He leaves behind a cherished legacy, remembered fondly by his devoted family: his mother, Kimberly Harris husband Marqué, his father, Kevin Neal, his siblings Daniel Ramirez, Kayla Ramirez, Caelyn Neal, Mason Neal, and Caeley Neal, along with his bonus siblings Derrick Jr., Calvin, Cheyenne, Brielle, Marqué, and Addison. He is also mourned by his great aunt Anna Phipps, a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, bonus families, and dear friends. John is reunited in peace with his brother Sean Neal and his grandparents Pete and Joyce Phipps.
In honoring John's wishes, a cremation will follow the funeral services. We invite you to join us in commemorating his vibrant spirit and cherished memories through upcoming celebrations of life and events. Follow @the_mrs_qharris on Instagram for details.
