Jonathan David O'Brien

December 12, 1974 — December 26, 2018

JONATHAN DAVID O'BRIEN

Jon passed December 26, 2018 in Baltimore, MD and is survived by his children, Laureana Robertson and Jacob Hamma; grandson, Siris Robertson; mother, Cynthia Ann O'Brien (Neil Spicer) and father, Arthur E. (O.B.) O'Brien (Marianne); sisters Danielle Rose and Julianne Rose O'Brien; stepsister, Mary Hooks and stepbrother, Christopher Hooks; and his many friends in Baltimore and DMV.

Throughout his professional career focused on computers and IT, Jon found a passion for service and problem solving.  He chose to acquire and improve his skills through a variety of specialized course curricula and held a number of IT certifications.

Jon had a great love for his family, friends and his dog, Justus. Jon always showed family and friends how much he cared for each of them. Jon had a quick wit and was often animated, full of hugs and jokes, yet caring and extremely kind. He spoke of his children and grandchild with great pride.  He also loved bicycling, motorcycles, tattoos, art, music, films and great food.

Among his many interests and talents Jon was known for his love of all things Baltimore. He would attend music, food and art events regularly. He was known for his ability to find the best places to eat in Baltimore City and one who dined with Jon was greeted like family by the hosts and wait staff.

Most recently he found joy and comfort as a dog owner.  Justus was a perfect dog match for Jon; he is huge, with an enormous appetite, yet tender and loving.

We all love you, Jon, and will miss you deeply.
