On Friday, August 17, 2018, Joseph (Joe) Kaye, 73, passed away peacefully with his entire family at his side, just as he would’ve wanted. Joe is survived by his wife Pamela B. (Davis) Kaye of 50 years: an anniversary they just celebrated big in May. Joe is also survived his five children, Joeley B. (Kaye) O’Grady, Harmony K. (Kaye) Campbell, Selah P. (Kaye) Fugett, Noah J. Kaye, Caleb J. Kaye and 13 grandchildren.
Born July 10, 1945, Joe was adopted and raised by Anthony and Ann Kaye, both deceased. He lived in Tokyo, Japan for the first 5 years of his life. Later in his childhood he lived in New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC and finally Maryland, where he spent the majority of his years. Joe met Pam in the fall of 1962 and they married on May 3, 1968, a move he often spoke of as the best decision he ever made. Joe spent most of his professional career in real estate and mortgage banking before retiring at age 65. Joe was a man of rich faith in Jesus and was active in his church through the years by driving the church bus, teaching children and leading Bible studies (his favorite book). Anyone who knew him would attest to his warm welcome, big embrace, gentle spirit and loving heart toward everyone he encountered. The world lost a good one in Joe, but his legacy lives on in the family he and Pam so beautifully nurtured...to which he would say: “Glory to God”!Family will receive friends on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 5 to 8pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rt. 3 South). A funeral service will be held at Capital Christian Fellowship, 10411 Greenbelt Rd, Lanham, MD on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Integer Network, 200 Tilden Way, Edgewater, MD 21037 www.integernetwork.com/contribute or Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD, 21122.
