Justin Rendell Gorham was born on November 2, 1987 in Washington, DC to Luetressie Michelle Gorham. At 9 years old he was adopted by Quintina Jefferson.
Justin graduated from Suitland High School, June 12, 2006, where he then went on to work at Safelite for eight years, and jokingly created his famed jingle, “Glassman Glassman yeah that’s me”, recently changing careers and working for the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard in March 2020.
Justin was a big sports fan and loved the San Francisco 49ers and the LA Lakers. Taking up bowling at a young age, Justin became an avid lover of the sport following in the footsteps of his mother, Quintina Jefferson, known as “Lil Smooth” who he then followed naming himself “Smooth Jr”. Once again coming up with another slogan and often heard on the lanes yelling “Throw the Goddamn Ball”. Justin or “Smooth Jr” was also a member of the UBA bowling club, Dynasty. After battling and surviving two bouts of cancer, Justin’s joy of life was even more evident, always the life of the party and never a dull moment.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucy Gorham, grandfather Mitchell Gorham and several uncles. Justin is survived by daughter, Kimari Faith Gorham, born one day after him, November 3, 2009. He is loved and survived by a large family, his mothers, stepmother, two brothers, Darrel Jefferson and Quintin Jefferson, three sisters, Shannon Gorham, Tanika Gorham and Tracy Brown, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, Godsons Kaddyn Taylor and Zayden McNair, as well as girlfriend Shawana Courtney and her daughter, Genelle Courtney.
With his infectious laughter, joyous spirit and prankster ways, Justin has touched many hearts and his memory will live on forever. Justin will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
