Kathleen Barbera passed peacefully on November 13, 2024. Kathy was born to Irish parents and raised in Baltimore city near the old Memorial stadium where she would hop the fence with her friends and sneak into the games. While she was attending Seton HS, she was set up on a blind date with City College’s very own football star, Joe Barbera aka the “Triple Threat”. They both fell head over heals, were married, had 4 kids started their office equipment business in 1973 which they owned until 1998. Kathy was fun, kind, loved by all, and known for her famous meatballs! Kathy and Joe were married for 68 years until his passing in 2017. Kathy’s passing was preceded by her husband and son Jimmy Barbera. She is survived by her children, Jospeh Barbera and wife, Maria, Colleen Gross and husband Bill, Patty Buddemeyer and husband, Dave. Grand children: Justin Barbera, Michael Kessler, Alexis Williams, Erin Sipes, David Gross, James Buddemeyer, Harrison Buddemeyer and 11 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral Home, 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland on Sunday, November 17 from 1-3 PM and on Monday, November 18 from 10-11 AM with a funeral service to begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens followed by a luncheon at Liberatore’s Ristorante in Timonium.
