Kenneth Charles Hopkins, Jr.

Kenneth Charles Hopkins Jr., 76, of Bowie, MD passed away on April 28, 2023 at home. He was born in McKeesport, PA to parents Kenneth and Margaret Hopkins. 

 

He married his wife Kathleen Hopkins of 42 years in Pittsburgh, PA where he raised his two daughters Karen Hopkins and Kristina Hopkins. Kenneth was a certified public accountant, working at Jefferson Memorial Hospital for over 20 years before he retired. In his retirement he loved being with his grandkids, gardening, and visiting the beach. His daughters have fond memories of their checker matches, hillsides full of daffodils, drives to the post office, and a never ending supply of ballpoint pens in his shirt pocket.

 

Kenneth was a generous, kind, and quiet person who every once in a while would throw you an unexpected joke and crack himself and you up. He was someone his family could always count on, often the go to for advice. He is deeply missed. 

 

He is survived by his sister Jane Miller, his wife Kathleen Hopkins, his children Karen Hopkins and Kristina Hopkins, and his four grandchildren Roan, Sawyer, Violet, and Mae.

 

A celebration of his life will be held privately.
